New Yorba Linda Cancer Center Brings State-Of-The-Art Treatment Options to Local Community for First Time
New Facility Offers Advanced Cancer Care and Brings New Hope to North Orange County Cancer Patients
Orange County, CA – Today, local health care and business leaders, cancer care specialists and elected officials, gathered at Yorba Linda Cancer Center to tour the facility and celebrate its official Grand Opening. The new facility is an expansion of Radiation Oncology Medical Group of Southern California, which has served the Yorba Linda and North Orange County communities for more than 35 years. The practice is staffed by three of Orange County’s top radiation oncologists: Robert Woodhouse, M.D., Donald C. Karon, M.D., and Vijay R. Kini, M.D.
“We are thrilled today to celebrate the expansion of our cancer care services to the residents of North Orange County and surrounding communities,” said Robert Woodhouse, M.D., Medical Director of Yorba Linda Cancer Center. “We look forward to offering our patients access to the most advanced, state-of-the-art cancer care available today, right here in our own community.”
The new center, located at the corner of Linda Vista Way and Yorba Linda Boulevard, features the advanced Varian Clinac iX linear accelerator, which is widely regarded as one of most precise treatment delivery systems in the field of radiation oncology.
“In communities large and small, free-standing centers such as Yorba Linda Cancer Center are increasingly able to use advanced radiation therapies to treat cancer patients in a less invasive manner and with minimal side effects, so that individuals are able to continue living their lives, maintain jobs and remain active in their communities as they battle this life-threatening disease,” said Woodhouse. “Our center gives local patients access to the most advanced technologies and therapies, which were once only available in larger university medical centers and in metropolitan areas.”
Radiation Oncology Medical Group of Southern California provided treatment to more than 700 patients in 2010 diagnosed with prostate, breast and lung cancers and other life-threatening diseases. Radiation Oncology Medical Group of Southern California offers patients a variety of non-invasive radiation therapy services, with minimal side effects.

Yorba Linda Cancer Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Scheduled for September 8
The new Yorba Linda Cancer Center, located at 1041 East Yorba Linda Blvd., Suite 100, Placentia, CA 92870 , will be celebrating its official ribbon cutting on Thursday, September 8, a 5 p.m.
The mayor and several city council members will be in attendance as well as members of the Placentia and Yorba Linda chambers of commerce. Residents, patients and other members of the community are encouraged to join us for to celebrate this special occasion.

Cancer Center Will Offer Outpatient Radiation Therapy to Yorba Linda Residents and Surrounding Communities
Orange County, CA – After 35 years of serving the Yorba Linda and North Orange County Cancer communities, Radiation Oncology Medical Group of Southern California is excited to announce the expansion of radiation therapy services to North Orange County with the opening of the Yorba Linda Cancer Center. On August 9, 2011, the facility will officially open its doors to the community and begin offering treatments to local residents and the surrounding areas. Yorba Linda Cancer Center will be hosting a Grand Opening event on September 15th to showcase the new facility and equipment. “We are excited to provide advanced radiation therapy access to Yorba Linda and Placentia and are honored to be part of the local community,” said Woodhouse.
